SMS Forwarding listens for incoming SMS text messages and conditionally forwards them to other numbers.

SMS Import / Export imports and exports SMS and MMS messages, call logs, contacts, and blocked numbers from and to (ND)JSON / ZIP files. (Contacts import and export are currently functional but considered experimental.) It does not require root. The primary author of SMS Import / Export is Thomas More. Others have contributed code and translations. The software is copyright 2021-2026, and is released under the GNU General Public License version 3 or later. SMS Import / Export is a sibling project to sms-db, a Linux tool to build an SQLite database out of collections of SMS and MMS messages in various formats. sms-db will hopefully eventually be able to import ZIP files created by SMS Import / Export, and to export its database to ZIP files that can be imported by SMS Import / Export.

SMS Shield is a default SMS app focused on private, rule-based message filtering.It supports keyword, sender, number, wildcard, and country-based block and allow rules, including Unicode and non-ASCII SMS content. Blocked messages are suppressed from regular notifications and kept in a dedicated blocked folder.Messages can be searched, archived, returned to the inbox, deleted, grouped into chats, filtered by sent or received status, and marked to skip automatic archiving. Manual block overrides help recover false positives without changing the whole rule set.The app also includes OTP copy support, local JSON import and export, dual-SIM send options, SIM indicators, delivery reports, and light, dark, and AMOLED themes with selectable accent colors.SMS Shield does not use any web services or data connectivity at all. No cloud spam detection, no advertising SDKs, no analytics SDKs, no Firebase, no Google Play Services, no AI services. Pure rule-based on-device handling.

SMS my GPS listens for incoming SMS text/data messages and conditionally sends an automatic reply containing GPS location data. The „trigger-word“ and white-listed sender phone number can be configured in the app.

Incoming SMS to URL forwarder will forward incoming SMS to a URL you specify: Set sender phone number or name and URL. It should match the number or name you see in the SMS messenger app. If you want to send any SMS to URL, use * (asterisk symbol) as a name. Every incoming SMS will be sent immediately to the provided URL. If the response code is not 2XX or the request ended with a connection error, the app will try to send again up to 10 times. The first retry will be after 10 seconds, later wait time will increase exponentially. If the phone is not connected to the internet, the app will wait for the connection before the next attempt. Optional extras: match senders with a regular expression, filter by message text, sign requests with HMAC-SHA-256, keep messages that failed to deliver for a manual retry, send a periodic heartbeat ping for monitoring, forward to local-network endpoints without internet, and back up / restore your forwarding rules as a JSON file.

SMS2Email forwards incoming SMS messages to a specified email address. This app is useful for users who need to access their SMS messages remotely.

SOS Ring forces your phone to ring at full volume when you receive a call from a VIP contact, even if your phone is in Silent, Vibrate, or Do Not Disturb mode. Perfect for families where someone always keeps their phone on silent but needs to be reachable in emergencies. Raise the volume on call - no need to turn up notifications Grant permission READ_PHONE_STATE (mandatory) to get the basic functionality. On incoming call the volume is adjusted to your preference. After the call the volume is reset to the previous setting. If your phone is in DoNotDisturb mode however, nothing is changed. Enable reading of the phone numbers so that the app can see who is calling you. With this you can set a different volume for each number. Grant permission ACCESS_NOTIFICATION_POLICY (optional) to enable the app to toggle your phone's DoNotDisturb mode. With this you can mark numbers as important. The app will deactivate DoNotDisturb mode iff an important number calls you.

The Serval Project is seeking funds to develop a mesh extender which aims to work around the limitations caused by the lack of AdHoc mode in Android. Visit the campaign website to the cause. N.B The app no longer asks for root by default although you can still try it in adhoc mode. Prebuilts are no longer in the source code. This is experimental software: it may not work as advertised. It may lose or alter messages and files that it carries; it may consume a lot of space, speed and battery, and it may crash unexpectedly. Mobile communications are useful, but depend on infrastructure that can be damaged, overwhelmed, or even absent. This app assumes zero infrastructure. The phones talk to each other using WiFi; relaying calls and messages and figuring out how to resolve numbers. In other words, it lets your phone communicate with other Android phones running Serval Mesh within WiFi range. Requires root: No. Basic Android still doesn't allow WiFi in AdHoc mode, so the app will ask for root if you try to enable adhoc mode. The Java/XML part is distributable under the GNU GPLv3 while the serval-dna (distributed number architecture) project is GPLv2.

When someone who sounds like your mother calls in a panic asking for bail money, Signet lets you verify it's actually her. Each paired contact generates a rotating 4-word phrase that only the real person's phone can produce. You ask her to read her phrase aloud; you type what you hear. Green banner: verified. Red banner: something's wrong — hang up and call her back on a number you already trust. Signet works over any channel. Voice calls, video calls, text, email, in person. The only requirement is that the two of you paired once, in person or over a trusted channel, before the crisis. Built for a world where AI voice cloning is commodity.
